Our History

George Helsdown set up Helsdown Electrical Contractors in 2003.

Started as an apprentice at David Helsdown Electrical contractors he then later after qualifying started up on his own as Helsdown Electrical contractors in 2003.

George built up his own contacts and grow his business, because of such high demand and the amount of projects came in David Helsdown then parted his company and joined forces with George Helsdown, then the company became Helsdown Electrical Contractors Limited in 2010.

Currently responsible for securing all new business for the company no matter how big or small the job can be. George also plays a key role in developing the company’s strategy, Business Development and Estimating staff.

George also draws up plans and technical designs to show the clients ideas to meet their wants and needs, He has excellent understanding of the whole process from design to installation as a result and has worked on many projects.

He is also responsible for all of the works on site including the health and safety of their team together with Operations

 

Operations Manager David Helsdown

David has over 40 years of experience of high quality Electrical works on a wide range of high profile projects.

He has been with George Helsdown electrical contractors limited since 2003, David is directly responsible for the effective management of all projects running smoothly and to time he reports back directly to the Director George Helsdown.

David Helsdown has responsibility for Helsdown Electrical Contractors Ltd’s Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety performance. Helsdown electrical Contractors ltd takes this seriously and Davids aim is to maintain a clean and safe working environment, employing the correct staff to carry out the successful delivery of each project.

• Periodic Inspecting Testing and Reporting 2391.
• Part 1 and Part 2 City and Guilds
• Level 3 NVQ City and Guilds or A & B old City and Guilds numbers.
• AM2 (Achievement Measurement)
• 17th Edition 2381.
• Approved Contractor with NIC EIC. Part P registered by law with the NIC EIC.

• City & Guilds Key Skills Qualifications Level 1 & 2 held in Information & Communication Technology (2004) awarded to G Helsdown 2006.
• City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services-Electrical Installation (Building & Structures) (10028547) awarded to G Helsdown 2006.
• NET Certificate awarded to George Helsdown who passed all sections of the Practical Skills Test Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) issued 2006.
• City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (16th to 17th edition update to BS 7671 2008) awarded to G Helsdown 2008.
